Two Nakedness mentioned in the Bible
In Old Testament, in Book of Genesis, there is this Nakedness of purity in Adam and Eve before they ate the apple. In the book of Revelation, there is this Nakedness of Shame. So what does these messages mean?
Genesis 2:25 "And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed."
Genesis 3:7 "And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons."
In the beginning man are trusting and submissive to God until they acquired knowledge and first thing they realized is that they are naked, and they are more self focus and sewed fig leaves and made themselves aprons to cover up. Man start to questions, complains, doubts and disobeying God. In the other word, man needs to be on guard against temptation of woman to commit sins, the work of Satan. Even today, this is no new trick for Satan, woman were still used by the Satan to fell man with sex. Politician had fallen, celebrities had fallen. This is one weakness of man, to fall into temptation of woman for lust. So God had sent Lord Jesus to die for our sin so that we can be Naked again, naked of all sins and be faithful to God again.
Revelations 16:15 "Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame."
All servant of God, Our Lord Jesus, should be enclothed by doing things that is righteous and pleasing to God. But those who is not doing the Work of GOD, ie, Off-Guard from doing work in the righteous way, his unrighteous Garment will be taken away by the "Thief" and his nakedness of sins, wrong doing is being exposed, this man needs to constantly "covered himself" up to cover his Nakedness of Shame. Unknowingly, many so call "Christian" are like Pharisees, constantly doing good deeds and telling to the world what goodness they have done, thus enclothing themselves with "Garment" and worst off, they even chided other Christians for not doing what they are doing. Many times, they glorify themselves by boosting what goodness they had done.
Friends, don't get me wrong that Christians should not be doing Good Deeds. What I am trying to say is that we should be doing deeds in God's will guided by THE HELPER, the Holy Spirit that God, Our Lord Jesus had sent unto us. Only then these "Garments" is deemed as proper outfit by God, our Lord Jesus because it is done to Glorify God, NOT individual and it WILL NOT be taken away by Our Lord Jesus. All works done with the help of THE HOLY SPIRIT is blameless and it will be recorded in Kingdom of Heaven. For those "Pharisees" Christians, their Garments will be removed by God, our Lord Jesus, Who will come as thief. Their Nakedness of Shame will be revealed. So Friends, be Humble as a child. Don't let self-righteousness and pride brings you down like the Pharisees. Let THE HELPER, Holy Spirit, guide you in this Spiritual Walk, true blessing to righteous Christian Life. For how much an individual can be guided by The Holy spirit is dependent on how much is willingness let go "Self" and forgoing worldly possessions.
